For ages, the definition of love has been cultivated and cropped based on the majority races vs thoughtful minds. It's been changing over time from Plato, and Aristotle to Ayan Rand.

Love is the desire for the eternal possession of the good, leading individuals to pursue higher forms of beauty, truth, and wisdom. - Plato

Love is a virtue situated between excess and deficiency, involving mutual admiration and appreciation between individuals. - Aristotle

Love is a rational and egoistic emotion rather than a self-sacrificial or altruistic (selflessness) one.- Ayan rand

In the times of millennials, Gen Z possession and professing love of individuals has been an act of finding fulfillment.

If we thrive more into the collective definitions of love that suit the Gen Z and Y.. It sounds like
" Love is the high you thrive, when you are in deficit.
love is the deep you are pushed into, when you are in surplus"

That is well up to the psychological part But, when we consider the neurological aspects that are the resultants of the feeling of love in sapiens.

Functioning of hormones in the human brain that are collectively responsible for love and romantic relationships.
Oxytocin: Often referred to as the "love hormone" or "cuddle hormone,"
It is released during physical contact, such as hugging, kissing...

Vasopressin: Vasopressin is particularly associated with long-term commitment and monogamous relationships, as higher levels of this hormone have been linked to increased relationship satisfaction and marital stability.

Dopamine: Dopamine is involved in feelings of excitement, euphoria, and infatuation, contributing to the intense pleasure associated with being in love.

Serotonin: Serotonin is involved in mood regulation and emotional processing. It helps regulate feelings of happiness, well-being, and contentment.
Imbalances in serotonin levels have been linked to mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

I prefer quoting "I am the product of the body and the brain ". Love is also one of the exceptional fulfillment in life.

Therefore love can also be considered as the product of eternal instincts and hormonal actions.
