Why I hate Gandhi?
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, I would like to acknowledge the contributions of the so-called Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
As a product of the Generation Z instinct, I do hate Gandhi. Because I have substantial knowledge of the flaws involved in Gandhji's contribution to Swarajyam
And I derived this perception from non-monetized or monetized YouTube channels (information consumption time 9 to 15 mins), short forms of Instagram reels (information consumption time 2 to 3 mins).
And this amount of information is fair enough to me to comment on the so-called Father of Nation who spend his lifetime fighting for Swarajyam. Here I would like to list the objectives and reasons supporting the topic Why I hate Gandhi?.
Satyagraha the non-violent movement Gandhi lead
An instinct from the surrounding society and the content I consume. I prefer fights, blood baths, and large-scale social disruption when it comes to any social moment(Even though I directly don't want to involve into.) Because it gives dopamine high which I natured from cinematic influences.
But when it comes to Gandhi's term he simply changed the prospect of a social movement. He defined the fight against evil, enemies, the British, or odds in a non-violent form. which is far more disturbing in these times.
He chose Satyagraha instead of war, preferred dialogue in the place of disruption, and almost convinced the whole country to be part of Satyagraha to achieve Swarajyam (Independence).
Because peace and democracy are freely granted to me and my generation. I don't know the taste of wars and social sacrifices and there were no marks of social injustice compared to 1940's. So I have the freedom of speech.
I admire Netaji more than Gandhi
When there is a debate or discussion on independence there will be two sides, one is Netaji's and another is Gandhiji's side. Because the way Nethaji Subhash Chandrabose has chosen is more likely appreciable in nowadays.
The call ''Give me blood I will promise you freedom'' Nethaji has given is far more riveting in the present times than the suppressing call "You must be the change you wish to see in the world " from Gandhiji.
Even though I didn't understand the consequences or failure modes of other violent moments, led by prominent freedom fighters. It takes my pleasure to stand by their side. because it gives an idealistic high to me. So I hate Gandhi on this point.
I came to know that Gandhi does non-social practices with women to attain sexual restraint
I read and heard about the practices of Gandhi wearing only a shawl and dothi to represent and support the poor in the country and the prominence of the khaddar, His habit of standing by the truth at any cost.
but I blame his behavior of watching women in non-social attire to prove his sexual restraint.
Even I do admire political leaders and social celebrities who have affairs and were involved in scams in the country in present times.
Why I hate Gandhi? Because loving Gandhi needs effort which I don't have. Following Gandism needs a high state of commitment and discipline. So hating is the option left for me. That's why I hate Gandhi.
There were countries, that got freedom even without Gandhi and We can also imagine our country's freedom without Gandhi. but the way Gandhi took it, has represented our independence is far more noble than any country has. So I have to admit that loving India is nothing but loving Gandhi.
